About UAB, About Us

Who we are?
The University Activities Board (UAB), as a programming board, is engaged in the  development and implementation of student activities. Based out of the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development, UAB works actively with students, staff and faculty to increase awareness of academic values and on-going campus student activities and vibrant cultural diversity on the university.

Our Mission
To bring the awareness of academic values, educational programs, and
on going campus student activities, and vibrant cultural diversity to the university.

What we do on campus?
UAB works with many on-campus committees and organizations to enrich the full college experience through hosting cultural and social events, public services and recreational activities for the university community. UAB also supports and co-sponsors student organization events. In the past, UAB has sponsored movies, grad prep classes, held language courses, brought music acts and hosted seminars.

FallFest Celebration
One of  UAB s most exciting and biggest event is the FallFest. FallFest is the university s Homecoming and part of our welcome back celebration. We are a proud sponsor of putting on many activities that encourage and motivate students life long learning experiences here on campus.

Some of our events include movie nights, salsa classes, and graduate prep classes. In addition we have held language courses, offered affordable flu shots, brought music acts to campus and hosted seminars. UAB also co-sponsors student organization events such as cultural heritage months and celebrations such as January s Mentoring Month with the GEMS Mentoring Program.

UAB is located at the Founders Hall, Room 201. For more information or to reach us, email student.activities@metrostate.edu or by phone 651.793.1556.
